As 2013 ends we reflect on Sarginsons progress with some very positive notes:
Securing an extremely significant Jaguar Land Rover contract has enabled the commissioning of a series of new low pressure components which are due for introduction during 2014. This contract along with the nomination for non-automotive projects in both low pressure and sandcast will also bolster the 2014 turnover. The transfer project for after-market alloy wheel low pressure manufacture from Asia also continues to gather pace.
During the year we have supplied our record number of prototype castings, many of which have been supplied within a 6 week lead-time and the majority with thin wall sections of less than 3mm. This demand has brought us into contact with the new and expanding market of low carbon vehicle emission applications.
Developing our strategic working relationship with Brunel University, through to the point of being selected as their low pressure diecasting industrial partner for the 2014 casting technology centre, is something that we are extremely proud of.
In the last quarter the focus has been the implementation of our ERP system, with positive results already being seen. This program continues into the new year and will roll in the continuous improvement DMAIC program that has been developed concurrently.
We would finally like to thank all of our customers and suppliers that have supported us during the year, we greatly look forward to working with you all in the New Year.
Merry Christmas from all of the Sarginsons team.
